Jo is a collaborative and friendly counsellor. Her open-mindedness and laid-back style provides clients with the freedom to explore new avenues and develop a deeper understanding of the circumstances they are dealing with.

Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are just a few of the techniques Jo uses in her down-to-earth approach to therapy. She examines the client’s viewpoints to determine the best strategy and loves working with clients to support them in developing constructive and practical solutions.

Throughout her career, she realised the importance of trust and empowering people in achieving these opportunities through coaching and guiding.  Jo has worked in many different areas, all rewarding her with experiences to meet, inspire and coach people from all different walks of life.  Her passion is giving people the acknowledgement, care and voice that they may not felt they had.

Jo holds a Bachelor of Counselling from Griffith University.  She is a nature lover and spends a lot of her time exploring the beautiful countryside of the Gold Coast, she loves listening to music and exploring new books as well as spending time with her family.

PACFA promotes the development and practice of counselling, psychotherapy and Indigenous Healing Practices, and respects and supports the diversity of approaches within the ‘talk therapies’ field.

Australian Counselling Association

Australian Counselling Association is Australia's largest single registration body for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. They establish, oversee and ensure Counsellors adhere to their ethical codes of practice. ACA assist mental health consumers to access ethical and appropriate service providers.
