When you hear the word counseling, in-person counseling is likely what comes to mind. You go to your counselor’s office and attend your session there, face to face. This is the traditional counseling approach.
Perks of in-person counseling are therapists can better read a client’s body language and other nonverbal cues, to further understand a client’s feelings, comfort level, and more. Sessions take place in the counsellor's office, which provides a neutral location and safe space for the client to open up and therapists can use hands-on techniques to help their clients, including value work, centering roleplays and play therapy techniques.

Counselling

Can't make it into the clinic? Are you in a remote areas, housebound, time-poor , lacking transport or parent or carer?
Clients find it just as effective and helpful as face-to-face counselling.
Online therapy is psychological support, information, online counselling and other help that is provided online on a computer, tablet or smartphone. Some people find online therapy useful because you can go online when it suits you — after work or late at night, when children are asleep, and at weekends.
It can also help people who can't easily get to regular treatment sessions because of time or distance. Some people find it less confronting than speaking directly to a counsellor or psychologist.

Research shows that nature-based outdoor activities for mental and physical health by supporting people to engage with nature in a structured way to improve mental health for individuals. Nature-based interventions are effective for improving depressive mood, reducing anxiety, improving positive and reducing negative effect.
